Questions about visuals and licensing
Which visual should I choose?
+
Choose Ultimate Risk Matrix 2.0 to present and compare risk scores by impact and likelihood. Choose DGA Fault Triangles to visualize transformer dissolved gas analysis and classify fault patterns using Duval Triangle methods.

What is the difference between License Key and Microsoft Licensing?
+
“View paid licenses (License Key)” opens the ReadyViz license-key purchase route. “Get it on Microsoft Marketplace (Microsoft Licensing)” opens the Microsoft Marketplace route. Choose the current plan for your product and review its license terms; Microsoft-managed license assignment follows Microsoft’s licensing process.

How do I add a visual to my Power BI report?
+
In Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service, open your report and choose Get more visuals from the Visualizations pane. Search AppSource for Ultimate Risk Matrix or DGA Fault Triangles, select Add, then place the visual on the report canvas and map the required fields. Your organization’s visual-use policies may apply.

How do I activate a License Key?
+
Follow the activation instructions supplied with your purchase. For DGA Fault Triangles, select the visual and open Format visual → About → License Key. Paste the key exactly as provided and check the displayed plan/status information. If your visual’s activation controls differ, contact support with its name and version.

How are Microsoft Marketplace licenses assigned?
+
If you purchase through Microsoft, the authorized purchaser or your organization’s licensing administrator manages eligible license assignments through the Microsoft 365 admin center. After assignment, refresh the report or restart Power BI Desktop. Recognition is not always immediate; follow Microsoft’s license-management guidance if the license is still unavailable.

What data and matrix layouts does Ultimate Risk Matrix support?
+
Use numeric Impact (X-axis) and Likelihood (Y-axis) scores, with a risk ID or name when you want to show individual risks. Matrix Builder supports fixed square matrices and independent axis values for rectangular layouts such as 6×5. Keep the scoring scale consistent and configure bands to match your organization’s risk policy.

What data and triangle methods does DGA Fault Triangles use?
+
Each row should represent one sample, with the numeric gas concentrations required by the selected method. The documentation covers Triangle 1, Triangle 4 and Triangle 5. Keep gas units consistent and check the method-specific gas fields before interpreting the plotted sample.

Does DGA Fault Triangles detect transformer faults?
+
Duval Triangle methods classify fault patterns; they are not a standalone fault-detection method. Confirm that DGA interpretation is appropriate, validate sample quality, and review results with a qualified transformer or asset-health specialist. Do not use the chart as the only basis for maintenance or safety decisions.

Why is my visual blank or showing a license warning?
+
Start by checking the required field mappings and numeric values. For DGA, confirm the gas fields, units and totals for the selected triangle. For a license warning, check the activation key or Microsoft license assignment for the route you purchased. Consult the product’s troubleshooting guide; data and licensing problems require different checks.

Where can I check compatibility or get help?
+
Check the current product documentation and Marketplace listing for your Power BI environment. For support, include the visual name and version, Power BI environment/version, the licensing route and the exact error message. Use a redacted screenshot or non-sensitive sample when useful; do not include your full license key or confidential data.
